MonoMag Carboxyl Beads are magnetic beads with carboxylic acid groups. These surface groups allow covalent amide bond formation to antibodies, proteins, peptides or other biomolecules via primary amine (NH2) groups. Oligonucleotides, antibodies or other ligands with amine groups can be easily coupled to the beads. Activation through carbodimide is required. With their large surface area, uniform size, narrow size distribution and unique surface coating, MonoMag Carboxyl Beads exhibit high binding capacity and low non-specific binding of protein or nucleic acids. Their compact structure also ensures faster magnetic separation than Hi-Sur Mag Beads. We offer both hydrophilic and hydrophobicMonoMag Carboxyl Beads.
Ocean NanoTech’s MonoMag Carboxyl Beads are also available in an easy-to-use kit format to enable researchers to conjugate antibodies, proteins, peptides or other biomolecules of their own choice to these magnetic beads. With the engineered MonoMag Carboxyl Beads and the specifically formulated conjugation buffers, the resulting conjugates exhibit high binding capacity and low non-specific binding of protein or nucleic acids. The kit contains sufficient reagents & components for performing at least 5 conjugation reactions. All componets in the kit have been autoclaved. Briefly, the magnetic beads are activated using carbodiimide and N-hydroxysuccinimide followed by conjugation to amino groups that are present on the target protein/ligand. The recommended protocol has been used to successfully conjugate bovine serum albumin, streptavidin or immunoglobulin to these magnetic beads.
Features:

- Comparable performance with Dynabeads Myone Carboxylic Acid
Applications:
- Immunoassay
- Immunoprecipitation
- Nucleic acid hybridization
- hybridization
- Western blot
- Cell separation
